How to join two audio files into one (free)

To join two audio files into one, load both into a browser tool that places them end to end and export a single file. You do not need to install software or upload anything.

Whether it is two voice notes, two music tracks, or an intro and an outro, stitching audio together is quick once the files are in the right place. Here is how.

How to join two tracks

  1. Open the audio joiner and add your first file.
  2. Add the second file. It will play straight after the first.
  3. Set an optional gap of silence between them if you want a pause.
  4. Press join, have a listen, then download the result.

The tool reads common formats like MP3, WAV, M4A and OGG, and hands back a single WAV file, which keeps full quality and opens everywhere.

The free audio joiner does all of this in your browser. Your files are decoded and joined on your own device, so nothing is uploaded to a server.

Why WAV comes out the other end

WAV is an uncompressed format, so joining into WAV avoids the small quality loss that comes from re-compressing to MP3. The file is larger, but it stays faithful to the originals. If you need a smaller MP3 afterwards, you can compress it separately.

Frequently asked questions

How do I join two MP3 files for free?

Add both files to the Kalmtools audio joiner, set any gap you want between them, and download the combined track. It is free and needs no account.

Are my audio files uploaded?

No. Both files are decoded and joined in your browser, so they never reach a server.

What format is the joined file?

A WAV, which keeps full quality and plays on every device. You can compress it to MP3 later if you need a smaller file.
